MIO VUKOVIC

MIO VUKOVIC

SVP A&R/Head of Creative, Disney Music Group

In September 2012, Mio Vukovic was appointed Senior Vice President of A&R/Head of Creative for the Disney Music Group, as announced by Executive Vice President, Ken Bunt. In his post, Mio is responsible for all aspects of artist and songwriter signings, as well as creative direction of the recorded music and publishing operations which include Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records and Disney Music Publishing. Mio is based at Disney’s Burbank headquarters.

Since his arrival in 2012 he delivered Selena Gomez’s No.1 album Stars Dance and her first No.1 single “Come and Get It,” plus Demi  Lovato’s hit album Demi that was No.1 in over 50 countries , No.1 single “Heart Attack” as well as three other top 5 singles. In addition he delivered  Demi’s Grammy nominated album Confident  with No.1 single “Cool for the Summer” and top 5 single “Confident.” Since Mio joined DMG as an A&R consultant for Hollywood Records in 2007, he has been an essential part of the company’s chart-topping success with a slew of hits, including bringing in key hit songs to artists such as Selena Gomez (“Who Says”) and Miley Cyrus' first No.1 (“Party In The U.S.A”). A native of Los Angeles, Mio had previously been consulting DMG on behalf of his writer and producer management firm AAM where he signed many of the most successful writers and producers today. He has worked closely with Dr. Luke, Kevin Rudolf, Eman, Evan Bogart, Jean Baptiste, Priscilla Renea, and many more. In this role, Mio negotiated many of the record, single and publishing deals for their roster. Prior to his independent consulting, Mio served in executive A&R roles at Warner/Reprise, Epic/550 and Geffen Records.
