Carolyn Gilbert's research career began when she started Critical Mass Media in the 1980s to serve first two stations, then a dozen, then Jacor. Under her leadership, Critical Mass expanded to over 700 staff members at its peak, ultimately serving every major radio group in America with research and marketing services. In 1999, upon Clear Channel's absorption of Jacor, Critical Mass became an "in house" provider of services for 1200 radio stations while Carolyn served as President. Between 2008 and November, 2010, Carolyn served as EVP Research and Inside Sales tor Tribune, invading television, newspapers, Nielsen, Kantar Media and Outside Expensive Vendor-Land, learning how they did it on the "other side."

NuVoodoo Media Services was formed in 2010 to serve radio, television and newspapers by providing innovative products to the industry that work within limited budgets and deliver results. With partners Marc Chase, Leigh Jacobs, Mike O'Connor and a tiny but mighty staff, Carolyn is excited to serve broadcasting companies under the independent umbrella of NuVoodoo Media Services.
